Polishing

We can polish any metal from a dull finish, to a high luster chrome like shine. This is a popular option for wheels and other aluminum alloy metals. The rougher the current finish is, the more time and work it takes to bring to a shine, such as cast aluminum parts.

How do you get a polished shine?

Metal polishing is a finishing process aimed at enhancing the aesthetic appearance of metal surfaces by smoothing, cleaning, and refining them. The goal is to achieve a shiny, reflective, or satin-like finish. Various techniques, tools, and abrasive compounds are utilized in metal polishing, depending on the type of metal and desired outcome. Coarse abrasives are initially applied to remove imperfections, scratches, or oxidation, followed by progressively finer abrasives to refine the surface.

Polishing compounds, often in the form of pastes or liquids, are then applied to further enhance the shine. Commonly polished metals include stainless steel, aluminum, brass, and copper. The process not only improves the visual appeal but also contributes to corrosion resistance by eliminating surface irregularities. Metal polishing finds applications in industries such as automotive, jewelry, and manufacturing, where a high-quality, lustrous finish is desired.
